  1. Eligibility
    • White belts age 4 and up
    • Yellow/orange belts and higher of any age
  2. Single elimination format
  3. Competitors will be judged on ability to perform the form associated with their current rank, balance, rhythm, and manner.

World Class (Elite) Poomsae

  1. All 1st place winners for ELITE divisions will receive a monetary prize and certificate from KNSU President:
    • Singles - $200
    • Pairs - $300
    • Team - $450
  2. Eligibility
    • All black belts ages 10 and up.
    • Age will be determined as of December 31, 2022. It may or may not correspond with your current age.
  3. Athletes will have to know all of the compulsory poomsae (see below) that’s required by them under the WTF and USAT rules, as shown below.
    • One week before competition form requirements will be posted.
  4. World Class (Elite) Poomsae will use the cut-off format.
    • If the division has 20 or more competitors, then the division will start from the preliminary round.
    • Competitors will perform 1 poomsae. The top 50% by score will advance to the semi-final rounds.
    • During the semi-final round, competitors will perform 1 poomsae. The top 8 scores will then advance to the final round.
    • During the final round, competitors will perform 2 poomsaes. The top 4 will medal.
    • If there are 9-19 competitors, then all competitors will start in the semi-final round.
    • If there are 8 or fewer competitors, then the competition will start in the “finals” round.
  5. Pairs will be co-ed and consist of one female and one male from the same age group.
  6. Teams will be the same gender and consist of three males or three females from the same age group.
